Council Chairperson Bio:

Delbert King of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, U.S.A., was elected to serve as Council Chairperson of Multiple District 3 at the 2007 Oklahoma Lions State Convention in Ardmore in May 2007. He served as Governor of District 3-O during 2006-2007. A member of the Bartlesville Green Country Lions Club from 1973-1978 and from 2002, Governor King has held many club and district offices including club president, zone chairperson, region chairperson, deputy district governor, district leadership development chairperson, district Mission 30 coordinator, and vice-district governor. During his recent two terms as club president, the club received the District Governors Award and the Dr. Eugene Briggs Friendship Award, which promotes the cementing of friendship through club visits. In recognition for his service in the district, Council Chairperson King received numerous awards including 100% president award, five-diamond award for membership growth, International achievement award for leadership and service, and International Presidents Leadership medal. Council Chairperson King is a Melvin Jones Fellow. He is married to Janice, also a Lion, and they have two children and two grandchildren.
